Born from an improvised recording session, Lost Cushion is an avant-garde musical collaboration between producer Takeyuki Hakozaki and vocalist Nelson Schmelson. Hakozaki has released multiple electronic soundscape pieces internationally as “Pollypraha” on Belgium’s Taalem and America’s Mystery Circles labels, and has created several sound art installations. He also works as a composer for commercial music, a sound producer, and a recording engineer.Schmelson is a singer/multi-instrumentalist and co-founder of DIY music label Sen City Records in Chiba, Japan. He is also one half of the cross-continental disco/boogie unit FREAKWAY.
